Invitation from the Bishops of BK BiH to pray for the Holy Father Pope Francis

Invitation from the Bishops of BK BiH to pray for the Holy Father Pope Francis:

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

These days, we are all closely monitoring the health condition of the Holy Father Pope Francis, who was hospitalized on February 14th, 2025, due to respiratory problems. The health complicationsand trials that Pope Francis is currently going through have spurred and united many people around the world in prayer for a speedy recovery. In this spirit, we, the bishops of the Bishops’ Conference in Bosnia and Hercegovina, invite all priests and all men and women who are believers in Christ in our diocese to join in prayer for the intention of healing the Holy Father.

We remember with gratitude his apostolic visit in 2015 and the messages and testimonies with which he showed his love for all people in Bosnia and Hercegovina. Therefore, we all together pray to the Almighty Lord to grant him the necessary strength in overcoming his health problems.

Let us also invoke the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, whom we invoke in the Litanies as the Health of the Sick, to whose intercession Pope Francis entrusted each of his Apostolic Journeys, that she may be by his side again and intercede for him with her powerful intercession with his Son, Jesus Christ, our hope (1 Tim, 1:1).

Invoking the abundance of God’s blessing, I sincerely greet you in the name of the Lord.

Mons. Tomo Vukšić, President
